Job summary

Monks is seeking an Analytics Engineer to turn raw GA4, media and CRM data into modeled datasets in BigQuery for major brands. You’ll join a Sydney or Melbourne based data team in a hybrid role, developing pipelines, models and AI-enabled data products on Google Cloud.

You will write strong SQL, build pipelines, and present insights to clients while contributing to AI-driven capabilities across measurement and reporting platforms.

Qualifications

• Strong SQL with advanced functions and data modelling skills.
• Experience building pipelines on Google Cloud for marketing data.
• Ability to explain results to clients clearly.
• Hands-on BigQuery experience including partitioning and cost control.
• Proficiency in Python for data work and automation.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain pipelines for GA4 exports, ad data, and CRM data into BigQuery.
• Model event data into clean tables using SQL and dbt or Dataform.
• Orchestrate jobs with Cloud Composer, Cloud Functions or Cloud Run.
• Set up data quality tests and monitoring before dashboards.
• Work with GA4 BigQuery schemas, unnest parameters, and attribution.
• Translate measurement plans into tables and metrics.
• Answer client questions with SQL across funnels and channels.
• Build semantic layer for Looker Studio and Looker dashboards.
• Present findings to clients and internal stakeholders in plain language.
• Prepare datasets for AI tools like BigQuery Conversational Analytics and Gemini.
