Job summary

MUFG Investor Services is hiring an AI Solution Engineer to design and deliver AI-enabled platform capabilities and internal/external products. This role sits within the AI Research and Development team and operates as an end-to-end owner across integration, design, deployment, and optimization of AI-enabled workflows.

You will collaborate with Data Scientists to productionize research outputs and work with Platform Engineers on deployment needs, contributing to scalable, secure AI-infused

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software engineering experience with end-to-end ownership of complex products or platforms.
• Experience with modern frameworks; React preferred (Vue.js 3 welcomed).
• Strong proficiency in at least one backend language (Python preferred).
• Experience with relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL), data modeling, and designing APIs and integrations.
• Strong fundamentals: clean architecture, evolvability, testing, code reviews, and CI/CD discipline.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve the technical layer of the AI Workflow and Agent Platform.
• Own capabilities end to end from design to production deployment and continuous improvement.
• Design and deliver AI-enabled features across frontend, backend, AI, and integration layers.
• Embed product functionality into AI-enabled workflows as reusable patterns and improve them with evaluation results and user feedback.
• Contribute to architecture decisions supporting scalability, observability, security, and long-term platform evolution.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists and AI Engineers to productionize research outputs.
• Coordinate with Platform Engineers on deployment and infrastructure needs.
• Support tactical AI solutions with team members and other groups as new business needs emerge.
• Participate in code reviews, documentation, and knowledge sharing.
