Job summary

M&G plc is seeking an AI Platform Engineer to extend platform capabilities across a multi-cloud environment, embedding AI and automation into operations. You will work with Product Owners, Architects, Engineers, Security teams and stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable platform services and self-service capabilities.

This hands-on role focuses on resilience, observability, and governance, with a strong emphasis on secure production readiness and measurable outcomes across the platform.”

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience building and operating cloud-based platforms.
• Strong software engineering or scripting capability with production codebases.
• Experience using infrastructure as code, CI/CD and automated delivery practices.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• An interest in AI, automation and agentic systems, with sound judgement about value.

• Platform delivery: Design, build and deliver new platform capabilities across a multi-cloud environment.
• AI-driven platform operations: Apply AI to improve platform operations and automation.
• Resilience and reliability: Design solutions with reliable performance and observability.
• Measurement and value: Build telemetry and analytics to show usage, cost and outcomes.
• Enablement and adoption: Design patterns, docs and self-service capabilities for teams.
• Governance, security and responsible AI: Align platform with security, governance and risk requirements.
