Job summary

Metro is seeking an AI Governance & Copilot Platform Lead to establish governance, controls and strategic direction for scaling AI across the business. You will own governance processes, risk management and compliance with Microsoft AI technologies.

You will collaborate with IT, Security and Compliance to align with GDPR, ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials, ensuring responsible AI adoption across a global organisation.

With the rapid adoption of Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, AI Agents and Azure AI Services, we are looking for an AI Governance & Copilot Platform Lead to establish the governance, controls and strategic direction that will enable AI to scale safely, securely and responsibly across Metro.

This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of Metro's AI governance capability and become a key voice in shaping our AI future.

What You Will Do

You will lead the governance and strategic oversight of Microsoft's AI ecosystem across Metro by:

• Designing and maintaining our AI governance framework
• Defining AI policies, standards, controls and operating procedures
• Managing AI risk, compliance and responsible AI practices
• Overseeing AI Agent and Copilot deployments throughout their lifecycle
• Partnering with IT, Security, Compliance and business leaders
• Evaluating new Microsoft AI technologies and assessing business value
• Supporting GDPR, ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials alignment
• Establishing AI approval, monitoring and reporting processes
• Measuring AI adoption, governance maturity and business outcomes
• Advising leadership on Microsoft's evolving AI roadmap and strategic opportunities

What We Are Looking For

We are seeking someone who is passionate about enabling AI innovation whilst maintaining strong governance and compliance standards.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft AI technologies, including:
• AI Agents
• Experience developing governance frameworks, policies and technology controls
• Understanding of risk management, information security and compliance
• Knowledge of Microsoft Purview, DLP, Information Protection and auditing capabilities
• Experience managing stakeholders across technical and non-technical teams
• Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills
• AI governance and responsible AI expertise
• ISO 27001, GDPR and Cyber Essentials knowledge
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale AI adoption programmes
