Job summary

Forsyth Barnes is seeking an AI Forward Deployed Software Engineer in the United Kingdom. This role blends coding with client workshops, documenting processes, and translating actuary or pensions workflows into shipped software.

You will embed with business teams, own end-to-end delivery, leverage Claude Code, OpenAI Codex and AI-enabled IDEs, build integrations and data pipelines, and contribute to the product roadmap with real-world learnings.

Qualifications

• Engineering background in CS, math, or data science.
• Proven ability to build production systems with AI toolchains.
• Able to translate business problems into technical work with non-technical stakeholders.
• Familiar with AI landscape (open-source and proprietary).

Responsibilities

• Embed with business teams to map end-to-end workflows.
• Own end-to-end delivery from scoping to live running.
• Develop bespoke integrations, data pipelines, and user-facing tools.
• Feed field learnings back to shape product roadmap.
