Job summary

9fin seeks a Forward Deployed Investor to work with buy-side clients and translate investment workflows into AI-enabled processes. You will sit with portfolio managers, credit underwriters, and distressed analysts to show how 9fin can unlock hidden value through data-driven insights.

You will map sourcing, screening, underwriting, and monitoring workflows, co-author adoption criteria, and lead deployment across accounts. This role shapes product direction through frontline client feedback.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of practitioner experience at asset manager, credit fund, or insurer.
• Fluency across end-to-end investment workflows in your area.
• Experience with AI-enabled investment workflows is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Map investment workflows and identify high-value insertion points.
• Embed with client teams to document sourcing, screening, underwriting, credit committee, portfolio monitoring, and relative value work end-to-end.
• Identify three to five places where 9fin's AI can materially change the workflow.
• Co-author adoption criteria with the client, tied to their investment outcomes.
• Build 9fin's AI into those workflows and drive adoption across accounts.
• Take the identified insertion points and build them out using 9fin's toolkit (in-platform capabilities, MCP integrations, agents).
• Onboard named users across investment, research, and risk and run enablement sessions.
