Job summary

9fin is hiring a Senior IC Engineer to design and build backend services and frontend tooling across the platform. You will lead system design, mentor colleagues, and contribute to research while collaborating with product and clients.

Expect hands-on work on APIs, data processing, and automation within a fast-growing fintech environment. You’ll work across diverse web platforms, modelling financial data, and implementing ML/AI-enabled features with a strong emphasis on maintainable code and

Qualifications

• Experience as a Senior IC Engineer leading systems design and mentoring team members.
• Comfortable moving between frontend and backend work and choosing the right tool.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and scalable backend services.
• Familiar with AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity while ensuring quality.
• Product-minded with focus on user experience and collaboration with designers/managers.
• Ability to own features end-to-end from idea to deployment.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects by designing systems, building proofs, and delivering new APIs and data processing.
• Develop backend services and web tools for the 9fin platform.
• Mentor juniors, perform code reviews, and contribute to early R&D.
• Improve codebase through automation, refactoring, and documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams from financial, legal, and editorial domains.
