Job summary

Pfizer seeks a Director, AI Experience Design Lead to own how Pfizer's AI looks, sounds, and behaves, and to build and lead the design team that ships it. This role blends hands-on design work with strategic leadership across AI platforms and enterprise LLM integrations.

You'll ensure design systems and tokens become the default pattern across surfaces, partner with AI, Data, Product, and Engineering, and drive measurable outcomes like adoption and trust.

Qualifications

• Must have a bachelor’s degree with extensive experience in Experience Design, UX, or Product Design.
• May include a Master’s or PhD with progressive leadership experience.
• Expertise in AI-driven experiences and scalable design systems.

Responsibilities

• Own AI design system across human and agent surfaces.
• Deliver design standards as code, including tokens and patterns.
• Track adoption and drift in code and improve patterns.
• Define measurable design KPIs like adoption and trust.
• Lead by example and ship innovative AI-first design work.
• Own end-to-end design delivery for high-impact projects.
• Act as design authority for Agentic AI experiences and Conversational UX.
• Define assistant behaviors and transparency cues in regulated contexts.
• Partner with AI, Data, Product, and Engineering on LLM-enabled products.
• Maintain design excellence across interaction, visual design, and systems thinking.
• Advise executives and translate AI concepts into decisions.
