As an AI Engineering Student Placement,you'llgain hands‑on experience working withcutting‑edgeAI technologies in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.You will be part of a collaborative team of AI Engineers, Software Engineers, and Platform Engineers, working together to improve all areas of the team—from car design and manufacturing to performance analysis at the track.You willsupport and evolve existing tools, as wellascreatenew solutionsthat will help to drive on-track performance.
During yourPlacement, you will collaborate with tengineers across the teamto support the development, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement of AI-powered solutions. Working alongside experienced engineers and technology specialists,you'llhelp explore opportunities toleveragemachine learning, generative AI, automation, and data-driven technologies to solve realworldchallenges.
You'llgain exposure to the full lifecycle of AI solution development, from requirements gathering and data preparation through to model evaluation, deployment, and user adoption.
Support the development, testing, and deployment of AI-powered applications and solutions
Assistwith data collection, preparation, and analysis to support machine learning and AI initiatives
Collaborate withengineers across the teamtoidentifyopportunities for AI-driven automation and process improvement
Support the integration of AI solutions with existing systems, applications, and business processes
Assistin evaluating and testing AI models, tools, and technologies
Document technical solutions and present findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Contribute to proof-of-concept projects exploring emerging AI technologies and capabilities
Activelyparticipatein the continuous improvement and adoption of AI solutions across theteam
Currentlystudying BSc or MSc in Data Science, AI, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience with Python and its data science ecosystem (e.g., pandas,numpy, scikit-learn).
Familiarity with machine learning concepts and techniques (e.g., regression, classification, neural networks).
Proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to learn in a fast-paced, high-performance environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively
You must have the right to work in the UK, as we cannot provide sponsorship for this role
You must be available to attend onsite interviews
Experience with other programming languages such as C# or MATLAB.
Exposure to cloud platforms and deployment tools (e.g., Azure, Docker, GitHub Actions).
Understanding of data pipelines and software engineering principles.
