Job summary

Alpine Formula One Team is offering an AI Engineering Student Placement in Enstone for a 1-year period starting July 2027. You will work with AI and software engineers to develop, test, and deploy AI-powered solutions that drive race performance.

You will gain exposure to the full lifecycle of AI projects, from data prep to model evaluation and deployment, while collaborating with a team of engineers across disciplines in a high-performance environment.

Qualifications

• Currently studying BSc or MSc in Data Science, AI, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with Python and its data science ecosystem (e.g., pandas, numpy, scikit-learn).
• Familiarity with machine learning concepts and techniques (e.g., regression, classification, neural networks).
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to learn in a fast-paced, high-performance environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively
• You must have the right to work in the UK, as we cannot provide sponsorship for this role
• You must be available to attend onsite interviews

As an AI Engineering Student Placement, you’ll gain hands‑on experience working with cutting‑edge AI technologies in a fast-paced, high-performance environment. You will be part of a collaborative team of AI Engineers, Software Engineers, and Platform Engineers, working together to improve all areas of the team—from car design and manufacturing to performance analysis at the track. You will support and evolve existing tools, as well as create new solutions that will help to drive on‑track performance.

The Role

During your Placement, you will collaborate with t engineers across the team to support the development, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement of AI-powered solutions. Working alongside experienced engineers and technology specialists, you’ll help explore opportunities to leverage machine learning, generative AI, automation, and data‑driven technologies to solve real world challenges.

You’ll gain exposure to the full lifecycle of AI solution development, from requirements gathering and data preparation through to model evaluation, deployment, and user adoption.

Who We’re Looking For
