Job summary

Allianz Partners is seeking an Engineering Manager (AI) to lead AI engineering teams delivering agent-based and voice AI experiences for digital insurance products. You will own people management, hiring, performance, and delivery leadership while technical decisions stay with senior engineers.

You will partner with AI governance and platform leaders to balance roadmaps, coordinate with backend/frontend teams, and drive production-level AI services with a pragmatic, delivery-focused approach.

Qualifications

• 8+ years engineering experience with at least 3 years in a people-management role leading applied AI, ML, or conversational AI delivery teams.
• Experience managing multiple engineers across at least two teams or specialisations.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow AI teams: hiring, onboarding, performance management, and career development.
• Balance engineers across agent and voice surfaces in response to demand from domain teams.
• Coordinate with backend/frontend leaders on AI service production and UX patterns.
• Lead interview rubrics and structured hiring for AI roles.
• Ensure AI governance and ethics reviews are integrated into delivery processes.
