Job summary

Ki Insurance is seeking an Interim Lead Agentic AI Engineer on a 12-month fixed-term contract to spearhead agentic AI initiatives that support underwriters in real workflows and scale underwriting capabilities. The role is senior, hands-on, and product-minded, involving design and build across extraction, workflow orchestration, human-in-the-loop review, evaluation, and production reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a STEM field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Product-minded with experience shaping product direction.
• Strong understanding of agentic AI concepts: multi-agent orchestration, tool use, memory and context.
• Hands-on production experience with modern agentic AI frameworks, including production ownership and observability.
• Excellent software engineering fundamentals: system design, API design, CI/CD, cloud deployment.
• Strong judgment in a fast-moving field, balance trade-offs under uncertainty.
• Ability to learn quickly in unfamiliar codebases with high autonomy.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and ship production-grade agentic AI systems that handle data-driven underwriting end-to-end, from design to production.
• Develop and enhance evaluation and observability capabilities, including test harnesses, offline/online evaluations, regression suites, tracing and fallbacks.
• Collaborate with underwriters and portfolio managers to translate business needs into product and technical decisions.
