Job summary

Adecco is seeking an experienced AI Engineer to join a growing team delivering Generative AI solutions across enterprise environments. This role focuses on building AI-powered applications, RAG systems, and Agentic workflows to automate processes and create business value.

Located across multiple UK locations with hybrid working: Manchester, Leeds, Edinburgh preferred; Birmingham and Bristol also considered.

Qualifications

• Commercial experience building Generative AI solutions.
• Strong hands-on experience with RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation).
• Experience developing AI Agents or Agentic AI applications.
• Strong Python development skills.
• Strong SQL skills.
• Experience integrating applications using REST APIs.
• Proven prompt engineering experience.
• Experience deploying AI solutions into production environments.

Locations: Manchester, Leeds, Edinburgh (preferred) | Birmingham & Bristol considered - hybrid working - 2 days per week in either of the above locations

Contract initially until Dec 2026.

Day rate: up to £800 inside IR35 via umbrella

We're looking for an experienced AI Engineer to join a growing team delivering cutting-edge Generative AI solutions within a large-scale enterprise environment.

This is an opportunity to work on complex AI initiatives, building intelligent applications that enhance knowledge retrieval, automate business processes, and create real business value through the application of AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and Agentic frameworks.

You'll play a key role in designing, developing, and deploying production-grade AI solutions, collaborating with technical and business stakeholders to bring innovative ideas into live environments.

Key Responsibilities
