Job summary

83zero Ltd is seeking hands-on Python Developers at Consultant level with practical GenAI, LLMs and RAG experience. The role focuses on writing production-grade Python code, building APIs, services and AI applications for enterprise clients in a GenAI context.

You will work across the development lifecycle, deploying solutions via AWS/Azure, Docker and Kubernetes, and you will collaborate with clients and engineers to take GenAI POCs into production, with hybrid work and UK locations including

Qualifications

• Strong commercial Python development experience.
• Experience building APIs, microservices and backend applications.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, Generative AI and RAG.
• Experience with AI frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph or CrewAI.
• Experience with vector databases and semantic search.
• Experience with OpenAI, Anthropic, Mistral, Llama or similar.
• Good software engineering, testing and Git practices.
• Experience with AWS or Azure, Docker and ideally Kubernetes.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB or similar databases.
• Experience with CI/CD using GitHub, GitLab or Jenkins.
• Agile engineering experience.
• Experience with AI agents, tool calling, embeddings, prompt engineering or LLM observability is beneficial.
• React/TypeScript and Terraform/IaC experience is beneficial.
• Experience taking GenAI POCs into production is highly beneficial.

Python Developer - GenAI

• Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 plus benefits, perks and healthcare options
• Locations: London, Bristol, Manchester, Glasgow or Newcastle
• Job Type: Permanent | Hybrid / 2 days per week onsite | Occasional travel to client sites
• Requirements: SC eligibility & full right to work in the UK required (no sponsorship available)

The Role:

We're looking for hands-on Python Developers at Consultant level who have experience building software and a practical understanding of Generative AI, LLMs and RAG. This is a coding-focused role for engineers who enjoy building real solutions. You'll use Python as your primary development language, developing APIs, services and AI applications using technologies such as LLMs, RAG, AI agents and vector search. You'll work across the development lifecycle, helping take GenAI ideas and POC's through to robust, production-ready applications for enterprise clients.
