Qualifications

• 1–5 years of people-management experience over software developers.
• Hands-on coding ability to stay technically credible.
• 80–90% time in people leadership.
• Experience working with product managers.
• Willingness to work on site in Birmingham, AL, 8–5.
• Experience migrating front-end frameworks or modernization efforts.
• Exposure to AI tools to accelerate development.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of software engineers.
• Partner with product managers to prioritize and deliver work.
• Guide development of web applications and an internally built platform.
• Champion AI tools that accelerate development.
• Drive continuous process improvement across the team.
• Stay hands-on enough to guide technical decisions and review code.
• Collaborate with AI team on new initiatives.
