Job summary

PEN Group in Canary Wharf, London is seeking a proactive Software Business Analyst to work with business stakeholders and our software engineering team. You will translate business needs into clear requirements and ensure delivered solutions meet expectations.

The role emphasizes AI-assisted tooling, agile practices, and collaboration with Technical Leads, QA, and developers. Candidates should have 3–5 years of BA experience, experience with web apps, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience as a Software, IT or Technical Business Analyst.
• Experience producing user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows and functional documentation.
• Good understanding of Agile software development, SDLC and UAT.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence or similar project management tools.

Responsibilities

• Engage with stakeholders to gather, analyse and challenge business requirements.
• Translate requirements into clear user stories, functional specifications and acceptance criteria.
• Analyse existing systems, identify process improvements and document workflows.
• Collaborate with Technical Leads to assess feasibility, dependencies and implementation priorities.
• Maintain and refine development tickets, ensuring requirements are clear before development begins.
• Coordinate stakeholder demonstrations, feedback and UAT.
• Manage requirement changes and communicate their impact to stakeholders.
• Use AI tools to improve requirements analysis, documentation and productivity.
• Support multiple software projects and maintain effective communication between stakeholders and engineering teams.
