Job summary

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Internal Audit, Risk Assurance or related functions.
• Experience leading complex audits and managing multiple assignments.
• Experience presenting findings to senior stakeholders.
• Experience managing or supervising audit teams.
• Experience auditing automated controls, RPA, or ML models.
• Energy from Waste sector experience.
• Experience supporting Audit or Executive Committees.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and operate the risk assurance framework.
• Perform detailed design and operating-effectiveness testing across controls.
• Maintain clear, complete, standards-compliant working papers.
• Draft practical findings and agree actions with control owners.
• Retest completed actions and confirm remediation is sustained.
• Serve as SME for AI-powered risk assurance and automated tools.
• Extract, analyse and interpret data anomalies to identify trends.
• Evaluate third-party risk management software and AI tools.
