Job summary

Aviva is seeking a Cyber Security Engineering Manager to lead our Security Engineering Maintain team and keep Aviva’s technology estate secure. You’ll influence senior stakeholders, shape security controls and drive risk‑based decisions across a complex organisation.

Based in London or Bristol, the role offers regional salary ranges and opportunities to improve cyber security capabilities across Cyber Defence, Technology and Risk teams.

Qualifications

• Experience leading cyber security, security engineering or cyber operations teams within a complex organisation.
• Strong understanding of security controls, risk management and frameworks such as NIST.
• Experience managing or supporting security technologies including EDR, PAM and SIEM platforms, alongside firewall and WAF knowledge.
• Knowledge of AWS and Azure cloud environments and experience in regulated industries (Financial Services).
• Strong stakeholder management and use of KPIs, KRIs to drive performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Security Engineering Maintain team and ensure security controls remain effective, resilient and aligned to risk.
• Prioritise security improvements using threat, vulnerability and operational data to reduce risk.
• Collaborate with Cyber Defence and Technology to strengthen security capability across Aviva.
