Job summary

Aviva plc is seeking a Cyber Security Engineering Manager to oversee the Security Engineering Maintain team across London or Bristol. You will influence senior stakeholders, shape security strategy and drive risk-based decisions across a large, regulated organisation.

You will work with Cyber Defence and Technology to prioritise improvements, strengthen controls and ensure resilience against evolving threats. Previous leadership in cyber security and cloud experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience leading cyber security, security engineering or cyber operations teams in a complex organisation.
• Strong understanding of security controls and risk management with NIST.
• Experience with EDR, PAM, SIEM; knowledge of firewall and WAF technologies.
• Knowledge of AWS and Azure cloud environments in regulated industries.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Security Engineering Maintain team to ensure security controls remain effective.
• Prioritise security improvements using threat, vulnerability and operational data.
• Influence senior stakeholders to strengthen cyber security across Aviva.
• Collaborate with Cyber Defence, Technology and Risk teams to reduce risk.
