Job summary

Stratospherec Limited is seeking a QA Software Test Engineer with strong automation experience to join a growing technology team. The role involves working mostly remotely with occasional travel to the Basingstoke HQ, testing complex SaaS web applications, APIs, and backend services while leveraging AI tools to enhance test coverage and efficiency.

You will contribute to designing test plans, developing automated tests, and supporting CI/CD.

Qualifications

5 years of software testing/QA experience.
Strong automation experience.
Experience with Python scripting.
Experience testing APIs, integrations and distributed software.
Experience testing web and/or desktop applications.
Practical experience using AI tools in QA workflows.
Experience in Agile environments.
API testing with Postman.

Responsibilities

Create and execute functional, integration, regression and system test plans.
Develop and maintain automated tests across UI, API and integration layers.
Use AI tools for test generation, data creation, automation and defect analysis.
Identify new AI-driven testing approaches to improve quality.
Test APIs, integrations, webhooks and distributed SaaS components.
Configure test environments and perform hands-on testing with software and devices.
Investigate defects and collaborate with developers and product teams.
Support CI/CD, backend and integration testing.
Contribute to QA process and automation improvements.
