Job summary

Harnham is seeking a QA Engineer to shape an AI-first approach to quality engineering, building scalable automation frameworks and validating a data-intensive web platform.

You will design and maintain automated tests for frontend, APIs, and backend systems, drive CI/CD automation, and collaborate with developers and product teams to improve testability and release quality. AI tooling usage and data-validation practices are key.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience with Java or Kotlin.
• Experience testing both frontend and backend systems.
• Hands-on API testing with Rest Assured, Postman, Swagger.
• UI automation with Selenium, Selenide or Playwright.
• Understanding of JSON, XML, HTTP methods and web architecture.
• Experience with JUnit or TestNG.
• Knowledge of SQL and data validation techniques.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and GitHub Actions.
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence or similar tooling.
• Interest in AI-native engineering practices and automation.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks from the ground up.
• Create automated tests across frontend applications, APIs, and back-end systems.
• Validate complex data flows, ensuring accuracy and data quality.
• Build regression testing capabilities to support platform enhancements.
• Collaborate with developers, product teams, and stakeholders to improve testability and release quality.
• Drive AI tooling use within testing to boost efficiency and reduce manual effort.
• Support CI/CD processes and contribute to continuous quality practices.
• Help establish best practices for automation architecture and test coverage.
