Job summary

Searchability is seeking a Quality Engineer to champion quality across the software lifecycle. You will test web applications, APIs and databases, and help shape automation, CI/CD and AI-powered testing approaches. The role is embedded in a product-focused team, with hybrid work: 3 days per week onsite in Daresbury.

The ideal candidate will adapt quickly, take ownership, and enjoy collaborating in a fast-paced environment while contributing to high-quality SaaS products used by global clients.

Qualifications

• Testing web-based applications in production or staging environments.
• Experience with API testing using Postman or similar.
• SQL and database knowledge.
• Comfortable across the full software development lifecycle.
• Strong communication and ability to challenge constructively.
• Proactive, ownership-driven mindset.
• Interest in applying AI to testing and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Embed within the Product Engineering team to ensure quality across the software lifecycle.
• Test web applications, APIs and databases and drive automation.
• Contribute to CI/CD and AI-driven testing practices.
• Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to improve quality and delivery.
