Hamilton Barnes Associates Limited is seeking a Software Developer (AI) to join its development team, combining full-stack software development with AI-assisted tooling to deliver secure, scalable software solutions.

The role covers new product development, API integrations and technical improvements, with a focus on AI-enabled practices across the software development lifecycle and ensuring secure, maintainable code.

Qualifications

Proven experience across full software development lifecycle.
Strong C# and .NET development experience.
Experience with ASP.NET and Microsoft technologies.
Strong SQL Server experience.
Good knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
Experience developing and supporting RESTful APIs.
Understanding of API authentication, authorisation, validation and security.
Experience with Agile environments.
Commercial experience using AI-assisted software development tools.
Experience applying AI to coding, testing, debugging or documentation.
Ability to critically review AI-generated code.
Strong understanding of secure software development.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Good communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

Design, develop and maintain features for the Lima platform.
Develop secure and maintainable applications using C#, .NET and Microsoft technologies.
Design, build and maintain RESTful APIs and system integrations.
Develop supporting applications, services and internal tools.
Identify opportunities to use AI to improve development quality and productivity.
Apply AI-assisted development across design, coding, testing, debugging and documentation.
Review and validate AI-generated code for security, quality and maintainability.
Contribute to technical design discussions, code reviews and testing.
Work closely with product and technical leadership to deliver new functionality.
Troubleshoot software defects and customer issues.
Contribute to coding standards, reusable components and engineering best practices.
Share knowledge and support colleagues in the effective use of AI technologies.
Maintain technical and API documentation.
Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and practices.
