Job summary

ConSol Partners is assisting a leading UK financial services organisation in recruiting a Senior Security & Cyber Operations Manager responsible for end-to-end security operations and cyber defence across cloud and on-premises environments.

Reporting to the CISO, you will drive detection engineering, SOAR automation, and AI integration, while managing MSSP/vendor governance and delivering executive risk reporting.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience leading SOC/incident response in regulated environments.
• Proven ability to manage MSSP/vendor relationships and incident response retainers.
• Strong knowledge of SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, and telemetry architectures across hybrid environments.

Responsibilities

• End-to-End Cyber Defence Ownership across SIEM, SOAR, EDR, NDR, and identity telemetry.
• Lead Major Incident Response, crisis leadership, and regulatory reporting.
• Drive AI, SOAR, and automation to reduce alert fatigue and accelerate response playbooks.
• Oversee MSSP governance, vendor relationships, and SLA adherence.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Cloud, Data, and Architecture to embed threat detection into pipelines.
• Define and report on metrics like MTTD and MTTR for risk governance.
