Job summary

Fitch Group is seeking a Reliability Engineer to join our Cloud Infrastructure and Platform Engineering team. You will collaborate with global development teams to deliver reliable, high-performing applications and services that drive business value.

You will design and manage CI/CD pipelines, implement AI-assisted tooling, and uphold security across cloud environments while contributing to disaster recovery and knowledge sharing initiatives.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with AWS services such as VPC, EC2, ECS, EKS, ELB, S3, RDS, etc.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong scripting ability with Python, Go, or PowerShell.
• Experience building and operating CI/CD pipelines and related tooling.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code and GitOps tools such as Terraform and ArgoCD.
• Ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to diverse teams.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with globally distributed development teams to design, build, and operate reliable, resilient apps and services.
• Design and manage CI/CD pipelines to optimize builds and deployments for reliability and security.
• Identify, contain, and mitigate risk across cloud environments and maintain strong security posture.
• Implement proactive monitoring and observability to detect and prevent issues.
• Develop automation and tooling, including AI-assisted approaches to reduce toil.
• Uphold infrastructure standards and patterns across cloud environments.
• Troubleshoot high-priority incidents and participate in blameless post-mortems.
• Evaluate emerging technologies to advance our secure cloud platform strategy.
• Plan and execute disaster recovery testing to validate business continuity.
• Promote cost-conscious design and knowledge sharing across teams.
• Participate in on-call rotation.
