Job summary

Aflac Northern Ireland seeks a Product Owner for Claims to lead discovery, prioritisation and day-to-day product decisions for claims-focused capabilities. You will work with business and tech teams to understand high-value problems, define measurable outcomes, manage the backlog and deliver robust solutions that improve claims accuracy, efficiency and traceability.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years’ product management experience in digital products or internal platforms.
• Excellent written and verbal communication translating business and tech needs.
• Demonstrated product discovery with interviews, journeys and prioritisation.
• Define outcomes and success measures in business terms (e.g. dollars).
• Navigate ambiguity and balance strategy with delivery detail.
• Proven ability to communicate priorities and progress to executives.
• Strong understanding of AI-powered experiences and related risks.

Responsibilities

• Lead product discovery with SMEs and end users to uncover problems and opportunities with measurable value.
• Define outcomes, success metrics, and prioritise the backlog for high-value work.
• Define a new claims experience based on customer value, ROI and strategic fit.
• Use research, analytics and product metrics to test assumptions and validate impact.
• Champion outcome-driven thinking and continuous improvement across the claims value stream.
• Engage with architecture, data governance, security, business and platform teams to manage dependencies and risks.
