Job summary

Noux Talent in Bolton seeks an AI & Automation Lead to provide hands-on technical leadership across an established AI engineering team. You will lead the technical delivery across a team of three AI Engineers while remaining hands-on with coding and complex work yourself.

A key part of the role is maturing the AI and automation environment, establishing robust n8n standards, improving monitoring and resilience, ensuring solutions are scalable, maintainable and production-ready.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience building and deploying AI/ML solutions into production
• Strong knowledge of LLMs, GenAI and agentic system design
• Hands-on experience with n8n for workflow automation
• Experience taking AI solutions from design through to production deployment
• Experience designing reliable, scalable and maintainable technical solutions
• Understanding of monitoring, alerting and resilience in production environments
• Technical depth to guide other engineers and make sound engineering decisions
• Experience deploying AI/ML solutions using major cloud providers
• Leadership experience mentoring and prioritizing work

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical design and delivery of AI, LLM and GenAI solutions
• Remain hands-on with coding on complex work
• Establish and embed an n8n design and implementation framework
• Define monitoring and alerting across workflow automation services
• Improve resilience and reliability of AI solutions and processes
• Support AI Engineers with solution design and engineering decisions
• Set and maintain high coding, testing and deployment standards
• Review approaches and code to catch issues before production
• Ensure AI/automation solutions are scalable and production-ready
• Lead a team of three AI Engineers and manage priorities and delivery
• Provide technical 1:1s, mentoring and blockers removal
• Develop reusable components and best practices
• Collaborate with wider internal and offshore teams
• Support cost management across n8n and AI processes
