Job summary

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is seeking an Assistant Practitioner to support the AHP Medical Team at the Royal Alexandra Hospital. You will assist Specialist Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist, helping assess patients, improve flow and reduce delays in discharge.

The Role

We are seeking an Assistant Practitioner to support the Allied Health Professions (AHP) Medical Team at the Royal Alexandra Hospital (RAH). This role will support the Specialist Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist within the team, helping to assess patients within medical wards to improve patient flow, prevent unnecessary admissions, and reduce delays in discharge. Training, supervision, and ongoing support will be provided to enable the post holder to work within agreed competency levels.

All roles will be assessed for sponsorship eligibility in line with current Home Office requirements. NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) can only issue a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) where these are met.

Duration, Location, and Working Pattern

• Tenure: Permanent post.
• Location: Royal Alexandra Hospital (RAH)
• Work Pattern: 5 days over 7
