NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking a part-time Band 6 Specialist Physiotherapist to join the Rheumatology AHP Service. Based at Glasgow Royal Infirmary, you will provide specialist assessment, treatment and rehabilitation for patients with inflammatory arthritis and other rheumatological conditions.

The role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part‑time Band 6 Specialist Physiotherapist to join the NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde Rheumatology AHP Service. Working within a multidisciplinary rheumatology team, the postholder will provide specialist assessment, treatment and rehabilitation for patients with inflammatory arthritis and other rheumatological conditions. The role offers a varied caseload across outpatient clinics, rehabilitation programmes, consultant‑led services, and hydrotherapy.

All roles will be assessed for sponsorship eligibility in line with current Home Office requirements. NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) can issue a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) only if these requirements are met.

Duration, Location, and Working Pattern:

Permanent, Part‑time of 27.89 per week

Shift Pattern - Monday - Thursday

Base location - Glasgow Royal Infirmary

Key responsibilities:

• Provide specialist physiotherapy assessment, treatment and rehabilitation for rheumatology patients.
• Work as an integral member of the rheumatology multidisciplinary team.
• Support rheumatology outpatient services.
• Deliver exercise‑based rehabilitation programmes.
• Participate in consultant‑led clinics and multidisciplinary services.
• Deliver hydrotherapy rehabilitation sessions.
• Contribute to service improvement, quality improvement initiatives, and audit activity.
• Support student education and the development of the wider team.

Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job:

• Opportunity to develop specialist knowledge and expertise in rheumatology.
• Work closely with experienced clinicians and advanced practitioners.
• Gain experience in specialist areas including:
• Rheumatology outpatient services
• Exercise and rehabilitation programmes
• Hydrotherapy services
