Job summary

Royal Mail Group is seeking an AGV Subject Matter Expert to join the Midlands Super Hub in Crick, leading automation initiatives, fault finding, and fleet optimisation. This hands-on role requires deep AGV knowledge and guidance across the site to drive project delivery and process improvements.

You will mentor engineers, liaise with suppliers, and ensure safety standards are adhered to while delivering innovative, compliant solutions for a high‑throughput distribution environment.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND (Level 4/5) in electrical and mechanical essential

Responsibilities

• Act as the go-to expert for automation systems, providing technical leadership on complex engineering challenges
• Lead on small modifications to the AGV fleet to include system upgrades and design reviews
• Provide technical leadership and support to teams in solving complex engineering challenges
• Mentor and train engineers, technicians, on best practices and safe work practices
• Drive continuous improvement through process optimisation and fault finding
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards
• Collaborate with suppliers, contractors and consultants to resolve issues with safety integrated
