Job description

We have a fantastic opportunity for a talented individual to join Victor in our Agricultural Underwriting team in Bristol / Leeds / Cambridge or Witham. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement to work three days per week in the office.

The role: Agricultural Underwriter

Victor and its businesses operate as Managing General Agency (MGA), offering a wide range of property, liability, motor and specialty insurance products in the UK.

This is a perfect opportunity for an ambitious individual with an agricultural underwriting background seeking an opportunity to join a market leading MGA.

We will rely on you to:

  1. Identify opportunities to offer solutions to existing client/broker (in the UK) accounts by evaluating applicant situation and circumstances and determining insurance risk.
  2. Review and analyse submissions without assistance.
  3. Work within your delegated underwriting authority to underwrite both new and existing business.
  4. Communicate effectively with senior members of staff as well as Assistant Underwriters.
  5. Work within Victor’s agreed Service Level Agreements.

What you need to have:

  1. Agricultural Underwriting Experience from an Insurance background.
  2. Excellent communication skills – verbal and written.

  1. 5+ years Farm Combined experience working towards Senior Underwriter.
  2. Self-starter and organisation skills to manage your own workload.
