Job summary

Haynes Bros. Ltd on the Isle of Wight is seeking an Agricultural Technician to service, maintain and repair agricultural machinery to the highest standards. You will work in the workshop and at customer sites to diagnose faults and carry out routine maintenance.

Qualifications

• Experience servicing, maintaining and repairing agricultural machinery.
• Strong fault-finding on mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Ability to work in workshop and on customer sites.
• Knowledge of diesel engines and hydraulic/electrical networks.
• Experience with New Holland, Case IH, JCB or similar machinery is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service and repair agricultural machinery and equipment.
• Carry out routine maintenance, inspections and PDIs.
• Identify and resolve mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.
• Use manufacturer diagnostic equipment and information to support repairs.
• Complete warranty work in line with manufacturer standards.
• Maintain accurate job records and service documentation.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard.
• Provide professional and courteous support to customers.

We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Agricultural Technicianto join our Isle of Wight team.

Job Purpose

As an Agricultural Technician, you will be responsible for servicing,maintaining and repairing agricultural machinery and equipment tothe highest standards.

Working both in the workshop and, where required, at customer sites,you will carry out diagnostics, repairs and routine maintenance toensure our customers' machinery operates safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service and repair agricultural machinery and equipment.
• Carry out routine maintenance, inspections and pre-delivery inspections (PDIs).
• Identify and resolve mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.
• Use manufacturer diagnostic equipment and technical information to support repairs.
• Complete warranty work in line with manufacturer standards.
• Maintain accurate job records and service documentation.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard.
• Provide professional and courteous support to customers.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop environment.

What We're Looking For

• Experience working on agricultural, plant, commercial vehicle or similar machinery.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and fault-finding skills.
• Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical and diesel engine systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Agricultural engineering qualification or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience working with New Holland, Case IH, JCB or similar machinery.
• Welding and fabrication skills.
• Experience using manufacturer diagnostic software.
• Forklift or telehandler certification.
