Alecto Recruitment Limited in Worthing is seeking an experienced Agricultural/Plant Technician for a workshop-based role. The position offers a £46,000 basic salary, a company van and fuel card, and a Monday–Friday pattern from 7:00am to 5:00pm.
You will service, maintain and repair a range of machinery, with occasional Saturday overtime paid at time and a half, based in a modern workshop to improve work-life balance and focus on core technical tasks.
Tired of spending your day driving between jobs?
What if you could earn £46,000 basic, keep the benefits of a company van and fuel card, and be based primarily from a workshop instead of spending hours on the road?
This is an opportunity for an experienced Agricultural or Plant Technician to join a growing engineering team in Worthing, working on a wide range of specialist agricultural and heavy equipment while enjoying the stability of a workshop-based role.
Many engineering positions involve constant travelling, long days on the road and unpredictable schedules. This role offers something different. You'll be based mainly from a modern workshop, giving you a consistent working location, better work-life balance and the opportunity to focus on what you do best - maintaining and repairing machinery.
As an Agricultural / Plant Technician, you'll be responsible for servicing, maintaining, diagnosing and repairing a variety of machinery and equipment, ensuring assets remain safe, reliable and fully operational.
Working from a well-equipped workshop, you'll carry out routine maintenance, inspections and repairs across mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems while maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety.
We're looking for an engineer who enjoys fault-finding, takes pride in delivering quality work and wants to join a business that genuinely values skilled technicians.
You’ll ideally come from an agricultural, plant, construction equipment, HGV or heavy engineering background and be confident working independently within a workshop environment.
