Job summary

Alexander James Recruiting is currently assisting a leading agricultural machinery dealer to hire an Agricultural Technician to service their client base across East Anglia. The role offers a competitive salary and benefits.

Based in Norfolk, you will diagnose faults, service a wide range of machinery and work closely with the Service Manager to ensure high-quality work. A company vehicle, pension and overtime opportunities are included.

Qualifications

• Experience in agricultural engineering is preferred.
• Based in Norfolk or willing to relocate to East Anglia.
• Willing to work overtime during peak periods.

Alexander James Recruiting is currently working with a leading agricultural machinery dealer, who are looking to employ a new Agricultural Technician to service their client base across East Anglia. With a competitive salary plus numerous other benefits, this is a great opportunity for an experienced agricultural engineer interested in a new role.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs across a wide range of agricultural and horticultural machinery


• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults using the latest diagnostic software and technology


• Develop and maintain technical knowledge across a diverse range of machinery, equipment and manufacturers


• Work closely with the Service Manager to ensure all servicing and repair work is completed efficiently and to a high standard


• Represent the company professionally when visiting customers on-site, delivering excellent customer service at all times

Requirements

The company has a preference for an individual from an agricultural background, but this is not essential. They are open to considering candidates from other backgrounds including heavy plant, commercial vehicles and other related sectors provided you have strong experience and/or relevant qualifications. You will have excellent communication skills and be willing to participate in training to improve and further your skills. Furthermore, the candidate will also be required to work overtime during peak periods. In terms of location, you will need to be based in Norfolk.
