Job summary

FocalPoint in Cambridge or Bristol is seeking a Senior Project Manager to coordinate day-to-day delivery of products in our Operations team. The role supports agile delivery across engineering and commercial functions, reporting to the Head of Operations, and will help build a data-driven project management function.

This fixed-term maternity cover runs from December 2026 to March 2028. The salary range is £55,000–£57,000, with in-hub/hybrid working and occasional travel to offices as required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management in an engineering or technical environment.
• Hands-on Agile delivery across multiple teams.
• Experience using data to demonstrate project control and improve governance.
• Formal training in delivery methodologies (PRINCE2, PMP, PMQ).

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day delivery across engineering teams using Agile, from planning to milestones.
• Manage dependencies, risks and issues with escalation when needed.
• Facilitate regular forums with Engineering and Commercial for clear action ownership.
• Coordinate communications, trials and shipments with Operations.
• Provide programme reporting and insights to Head of Operations.
• Help build the project management function and governance.
• Stay updated on industry-leading methodologies and tools.
