Role summary

We are seeking an experienced Agile Delivery Manager to support our client’s complex transformation programme involving data migration, multiple internal dependencies and a third-party engineering partner.
This is a hands-on delivery role for someone who can take ownership, drive progress and bring teams together to achieve outcomes. We are looking for a proactive delivery professional rather than a traditional Project Manager focused primarily on governance, budgets and reporting.

You will work across Product, Technology, Business and Operational teams, coordinating delivery activity, managing dependencies and removing blockers to keep workstreams moving forward. The environment will require someone who can navigate competing stakeholder priorities, challenge existing ways of working and introduce practical improvements to delivery.
The successful candidate will be confident, resilient and comfortable holding stakeholders and delivery partners accountable, while maintaining a collaborative approach.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the day-to-day delivery lead for assigned workstreams, driving activity from planning through to implementation.
  • Maintain integrated delivery plans, coordinating milestones, dependencies and critical path activities across business, product, technology and operational teams.
  • Proactively identify and remove blockers, drive actions to completion and resolve delivery issues.
  • Coordinate internal teams, business SMEs and third-party engineering partners to ensure delivery commitments are achieved.
  • Manage competing priorities and stakeholder expectations, ensuring teams remain aligned on objectives and outcomes.
  • Challenge existing practices and introduce improved ways of working to strengthen delivery effectiveness.
  • Manage RAID activities, ensuring risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies are documented, monitored and appropriately escalated.
  • Produce clear delivery updates, status reports and governance outputs to support decision-making.
  • Support testing, operational readiness, launch planning and transition into live service.
  • Define and track readiness criteria, acceptance criteria and KPIs to support the successful implementation and embedding of change.
  • Ensure key milestones are achieved and delivery risks are proactively managed throughout the engagement.
Essential Experience and Skills
  • Proven experience as an Agile Delivery Manager, with a strong focus on practical delivery rather than traditional project management.
  • A hands-on approach, taking ownership of outcomes and actively driving progress.
  • Strong understanding of agile delivery principles and their practical application within complex environments.
  • Experience managing multiple workstreams, complex dependencies and evolving delivery requirements.
  • Proven ability to coordinate internal teams and external delivery partners.
  • Excellent stakeholder-management skills, with the confidence to challenge established practices and hold people accountable.
  • Experience identifying and resolving blockers, managing delivery risks and maintaining momentum.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments and competing priorities.
  • Resilience, determination and the confidence to make difficult decisions and have challenging conversations.
  • A collaborative approach, with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams and functions.
Desirable Experience
  • Experience delivering complex data migration programmes, including understanding the dependencies and activities required to support successful migration.
  • Experience coordinating data migration with customer consent, marketing requirements, campaign management or wider business processes.
  • Background in IT or technology-led transformation and delivery.
  • Experience working with external engineering, development or build partners.
  • Familiarity with Jira and coordinating delivery across multiple boards or systems.
  • Exposure to CRM, marketing or campaign-management platforms.
  • Public-sector or government experience.
  • Familiarity with technologies such as Databricks or AWS.
