Job summary

FocalPoint in the UK is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager in our Operations team to coordinate the day-to-day delivery of our products, ensuring engineering and commercial teams remain aligned. Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will lead delivery using Agile methodologies and help build data-driven project controls.

This maternity cover runs from December 2026 to March 2028. You will drive coordination, governance and reporting while developing the project management function

Qualifications

• 5+ years' project management in engineering or technical environments (ideally software).
• Hands-on Agile delivery across more than one team.
• Experience in a programme function using meaningful data to demonstrate project control.
• Formal training in delivery management methodologies (e.g. PRINCE2, PMP, PMQ).
• Experience in a start-up/scale-up environment.
• Experience setting up or contributing to a programme management function.
• Exposure to commercial or customer-facing teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day delivery across engineering teams using Agile from planning to milestones.
• Manage dependencies, risks and issues, escalating where necessary.
• Ensure Engineering and Commercial teams have regular forums and clear ownership of actions.
• Coordinate communications, customer trials, and product shipments within Operations.
• Build and provide programme reporting and insight to the Head of Operations.
• Help mature the project management function, improving processes, governance and reporting.
• Stay up to date with industry-leading methodologies and tools.
