Agile Delivery Manager, Scrum Master, Agile Coach - Hybrid working - Liverpool

My client seeks an experienced Agile Delivery Manager / Scrum Master with a strong Agile coaching background to oversee the IT Department’s Agile delivery, including the release of all in-house applications and acting as Scrum Master for departmental Scrum teams.

You will own the processes within the software development lifecycle and report on SDLC performance to senior management. A solid background in Agile coaching and supporting learning and development in Agile software project delivery is essential.

The main duties of the Agile Delivery Manager include:

1. Leading UI and UX design for software projects.
2. Implementing and communicating UI/UX standards across teams.
3. Collaborating with clients and stakeholders to deliver high-quality user experiences.
4. Documenting UI/UX designs and aligning them with solutions.
5. Leading acceptance testing for UI/UX designs.
6. Keeping abreast of UI/UX trends and presenting findings to leadership.
7. Evaluating applications for improvements and creating prototypes.
8. Ensuring applications adhere to design standards.
9. Addressing UX issues, ensuring responsiveness and usability.

As Scrum Master/Delivery Manager, responsibilities include:

1. Facilitating all Scrum ceremonies.
2. Coaching teams on Agile frameworks and best practices.
3. Ensuring Scrum adherence and understanding.
4. Managing communication for Scrum teams.
5. Handling backlogs and new requests with Business Applications teams.
6. Resolving conflicts and removing impediments.
7. Reporting sprint performance to senior management.
8. Negotiating urgent requests and adapting to challenges.
9. Fostering effective collaboration and communication.
10. Escalating issues causing delays.

In terms of Release/Delivery:

1. Planning and leading software releases.
2. Communicating updates to stakeholders.
3. Coordinating pre-release testing and go-live activities.
4. Tracking release action points and performance.
5. Removing blockers and improving deployment processes.

Skills, qualifications, and competencies required:

Experience/Background

• At least 3 years in Agile Delivery roles.
• Certified Scrum Master preferred.
• Strong understanding of Agile values, principles, and SDLC.
• Expertise in Scrum methodology and facilitation techniques.
• Experience with stakeholder management and conflict resolution.
• Familiarity with tools like Asana, Redmine, Git, Google Apps (desirable).

Qualifications/Education

• Degree level education or higher.
