Job Description:

My client seeks an experienced Agile Delivery Manager/Scrum Master with a strong Agile coaching background to oversee the IT department’s Agile processes, manage the release of in-house applications, and serve as Scrum Master for departmental Scrum teams.

Your responsibilities include ownership of the software development lifecycle processes, reporting on SDLC performance to senior management, and supporting Agile learning and development within the department.

Main duties of the Agile Delivery Manager:

• Lead UI and UX design for software projects.
• Implement and communicate UI/UX standards, ensuring consistency.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver high-quality user experiences.
• Document and provide UI/UX designs to development teams.
• Align UI/UX designs with solutions in collaboration with Business Analysts.
• Lead acceptance testing for UI/UX designs.
• Stay updated on UI/UX trends and present findings to leadership.
• Evaluate existing applications for improvements.
• Create wireframes and prototypes.
• Demonstrate UI/UX ideas.
• Ensure applications adhere to design standards.
• Identify and troubleshoot UX issues, maintaining responsiveness.

Scrum Master/Delivery Manager responsibilities:

• Facilitate Scrum events: Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Review, Retrospective.
• Coach teams on Agile frameworks and best practices.
• Ensure Scrum practices are understood and followed.
• Serve as communication point for Scrum teams.
• Manage backlogs and requests with Business Applications team.
• Resolve conflicts and remove impediments.
• Report sprint performance to management.
• Negotiate requests and adapt to challenges.

• Escalate impediments causing delays.

Release/Delivery responsibilities:

• Plan and lead software releases.
• Communicate updates to stakeholders.
• Manage testing phases pre-release and go-live.
• Lead release retrospectives and track actions.

• Address release blockers promptly.
• Coordinate with development on branches and merges.
• Research and suggest improvements for release methodologies.
• Oversee patch deployments and ensure proper procedures.
• Automate deployment processes for efficiency.

Skills, Qualifications, and Competencies:

Experience/Background:

• 3+ years in Agile Delivery roles (e.g., Scrum Master, Agile Delivery Manager).
• Scrum Master certification preferred.
• Strong understanding of Agile principles and SDLC.
• Expertise in Scrum methodology and facilitation.
• Experience with stakeholder management.
• Familiarity with tools like Asana, Redmine, Git, Google Apps (desirable).
