Job summary

Thoughtworks is seeking a Principal-level AI strategist and architect to lead complex agentic AI programmes in the UK. You will translate client needs into differentiated propositions, shape production-grade architectures, and drive governance patterns for safe and reliable deployment.

You will mentor engineers, guide multiple teams, and champion responsible AI practices across engagements, with a focus on regulated UK environments and enterprise-scale delivery.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in modern software engineering and Python.
• Recognised experience architecting GenAI and agentic AI systems at scale.
• Strong consulting and senior client engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Shape and deliver agentic AI advisory strategies for UKI pursuits.
• Set architecture directions for complex agentic AI systems and multi-agent workflows.
• Establish governance patterns for observability, auditability and safety in production.
• Mentor senior engineers and uplift engineering capability across teams.
• Lead complex delivery with hands-on involvement to unblock teams.
• Represent Thoughtworks' agentic AI capability in client conversations and forums.
