Job summary

Accenture UK & Ireland seeks a Lead or Principal AI Architect to act as the definitive technical authority on AI architecture for client engagements. You will own end-to-end architecture across classical ML, generative AI, and agentic systems, ensuring alignment to client business objectives and enterprise standards.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience designing and deploying enterprise AI solutions across agentic, generative, and classical AI/ML.
• Proven expertise with LLM and Generative AI spaces and production patterns.
• Strong background in architecting scalable, production-grade AI platforms.
• Climate of governance, security, observability, and performance in AI systems.

Responsibilities

• Partner with CIOs/CTOs to shape enterprise AI strategy and translate business goals into technical vision.
• Lead enterprise AI assessments and roadmaps for sustained competitive advantage.
• Own end-to-end technical solutions for complex AI platforms with cross-domain coherence.
• Translate architecture principles into concrete solutions that domain teams implement.
• Build prototypes and proofs of concept to de-risk decisions and prove value early.
• Conduct technology assessments and make evidence-based recommendations on tools and platforms.
• Define memory, context, and agent orchestration patterns across multi-agent ecosystems.
• Establish an enterprise-wide AI governance, security, and guardrail framework.
• Produce architecture artifacts (ADR, reference architectures, diagrams) to guide delivery at scale.
• Lead to become a thought leader, shaping the practice’s AI perspective externally.
