Job summary

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2/3 Professional Cookery or equivalent experience.
• Food Safety Level 2 certificate (last 3 years).
• Food Allergen certificate (last 3 years).
• Health & Safety Level 2 certificate (last 3 years).
• Eligible to work in the UK.
• Passion for high quality, on-the-go and sit-down meals.

Responsibilities

• Cook to specification and create menu opportunities.
• Product delivery, standards and innovation.
• Cleaning the kitchen and equipment.
• Record food temps and wastage.
• Liaise with Front of House Staff and Management.
• Stock control, waste management and finance.
• Health & Safety, Food Hygiene and maintenance.
• Adhere to Health and Safety at Work and COSHH.

OVERVIEW

We are looking for experienced chefs to work on agency.

Wages - £16.00ph - £20.00ph + holiday pay (Depending on experience)

Arc Hospitality Recruitment is expanding our relief chef team and we’re looking for experienced, professional chefs to join us on this exciting journey.

We’re building a team of Yorkie's best culinary talent to support an exciting portfolio of events, racecourses, and high-end hotels and we want you on board!

We’re not just filling shifts. We’re creating a go-to team of elite chefs who set the standard across the region’s thriving hospitality scene.

As an Agency Relief Chef, you’ll step into key positions and deliver consistently excellent service. You’ll be expected to:

• Lead and support kitchen teams across a variety of venues
• Maintain high culinary standards and presentation under pressure
• Ensure smooth service during busy race days, corporate events, weddings, and hotel service
• Adapt quickly to different kitchen environments and teams
• Uphold food safety, hygiene, and compliance at all times

Responsibilities and Duties

• Cook to specification and opportunity for menu creation.
• Product Delivery, Standards and Innovation
• Cleaning the kitchen & it’s equipment
• Due diligence, Record food/fridge temps & wastage
• Liaising with Front of House Staff and Management.
• Stock Control, Waste Management and Finance
• Health & Safety, Food Hygiene and Maintenance
• Be aware of and adhere to Health and Safety at Work, COSHH and other legislation at all times.

What you need?

• Food Safety Level 2 certificate - From last 3 years
• Food Allergen certificate - From last 3 years
• Health & Safety Level 2 - From last 3 years
• You will have an NVQ Level 2/3 Professional Cookery or relevant experience in the role.
• Good Knowledge of food and passion for delivering high quality, affordable, on-the-go and sit-down meals.
• Eligible to work in the UK
• An eagerness to work hard & enthusiasm for your role
