Job summary

Seismic Ltd is seeking an experienced Design Engineer for our Aftertreatment & Emissions team in Peterborough. You will develop engine components from concept to production, creating CAD models, drawings and BOMs, and applying GD&T to ensure robust designs.

You will work with DFMEA and validation activities across various manufacturing processes. The role offers a site-based contract with 37.5 hours per week and a rate of £37.80 per hour (PAYE) or £51.32 umbrella, with holiday pay and pension

Qualifications

• Engineering degree required.
• Strong 3D CAD design experience.
• Good working knowledge of GD&T.
• Experience with DFMEA or similar risk assessment processes.
• Experience creating and managing Bills of Materials (BOMs).

Responsibilities

• Create and develop engineering concepts and component designs.
• Produce and manage 3D CAD models, drawings and specifications.
• Create and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Apply GD&T and engineering standards to designs.
• Support DFMEA, risk assessment and validation activities.
• Develop validation plans and verification activities.
• Collaborate with suppliers to develop robust technical solutions.
• Investigate quality, manufacturing and field issues; support RCA actions.
• Communicate progress and decisions to teams and stakeholders.
