Job summary

Kibworth Church of England Primary School is seeking an Extended Services Education Assistant to support the Wraparound Manager in providing high-quality activities for pupils after the school day. The role is part-time, 15 hours per week over 39 weeks, with a 15:00–18:00 daily schedule and a Grade 5 pay point starting at £9,025 pro-rata.

The successful candidate will be caring, enthusiastic, energetic and a true team player who can create a safe, enjoyable environment for children.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children in a play, childcare or out of school setting is essential.
• Ideal candidates will have experience of working with children and be committed to providing our pupils with a safe and enjoyable childcare environment.
• Level 2 NVQ or CACHE or working towards is desirable.
• Ability to create an inspirational and stimulating child-centred play and care environment.
• Excellent communication (written & oral) and interaction skills with child, parents and colleagues

Responsibilities

• To maintain a duty of care for all children that attend the Extended Services wrap Around Care
• To establish and maintain positive relationships with children and Extended Services provision teams.
• To maintain communication with the Extended Services Support Lead, and Deputy Lead.
• To provide care and encouragement to children and young people with disabilities or special educational needs, supporting them to participate in activities and liaising with parents / carers / other professionals as appropriate.
