Qualifications

About the role:

As an Aftersales Digitalization Business Partner, you will act as the digitalization partner for the local aftersales organization, connecting local business teams and dealer operations with BYD’s European Aftersales Business Digitalization team.

This is not a traditional IT support or system coordination role. You will work closely with business teams, dealers, Digital Product Owners and end users to understand business problems, identify digitalization opportunities, shape practical solutions, and drive them into effective digital capabilities.

You will contribute across the full delivery lifecycle – from business requirement understanding and solution definition to validation, testing, rollout, adoption, operation and continuous improvement.

We expect you to actively leverage data, AI, automation and modern digital tools to improve problem-solving efficiency and business outcomes, while ensuring that regional and global digital capabilities work effectively in the local market.

Working location: Uxbridge, London

Main responsibilities:

• Business Understanding & Digitalization Partnership: Work directly with local aftersales teams and dealers to understand business processes, operational pain points and priorities. Identify the real business problem behind requests and translate business needs into practical digitalization initiatives.

• Market Digital Product Ownership: Represent local business requirements in regional and global digital product development. Work with Digital Product Owners to define requirements, user journeys, priorities and acceptance criteria, and validate solutions against real business and dealer scenarios.

• Digital Solution Delivery: Coordinate requirements, solution validation, UAT, pilots, business acceptance and rollout. Take ownership of local delivery and ensure digital solutions are implemented successfully and create real business value.

• Dealer Digitalization & System Integration: Work with dealers, DMS providers and technology partners to improve digital connectivity between dealer systems and company platforms. Coordinate business requirements, interface validation, testing and rollout with relevant technical teams.

• Platform Rollout & Adoption: Drive local implementation and adoption of regional and global aftersales digital platforms. Coordinate market readiness, dealer onboarding, training, communication and rollout, and continuously monitor adoption and user feedback after go-live.

• Data, Automation & AI Enablement: Use data to identify operational issues and improvement opportunities. Actively use AI, automation and modern digital tools to improve analysis, requirements, documentation and problem solving, and support adoption of relevant data and AI capabilities.

• Operation & Problem Solving: Take ownership of digital issues raised by local business users and dealers. Distinguish user and process issues from product defects, integration failures and data problems, perform root-cause analysis and turn recurring issues into product or process improvements.

• Continuous Improvement: Use operational data, user feedback and support cases to identify systematic improvement opportunities. Look beyond individual issues and help convert repeated market needs into scalable digital capabilities.

• Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with local business teams, dealers, European Digital Product Owners, Business Platform Engineers, BYD HQ development teams and external technology partners. Ensure clear ownership, communication and effective coordination across business and technology teams.

Qualification and requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Systems, Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Automotive, Supply Chain or another relevant field.

• 3+ years of experience in business digitalization, digital product delivery, enterprise IT, business analysis, automotive aftersales or a related area.

• Strong ability to understand business processes, identify root causes and translate ambiguous business problems into practical digital solutions.

• Good understanding of enterprise digital systems and integration concepts such as DMS, CRM, ERP, APIs, system integration, data flows, cloud platforms and BI.

• Experience driving or contributing to digital initiatives across requirement analysis, solution definition, testing, rollout, adoption and continuous improvement.

• Practical experience using data, AI, automation or modern digital tools to improve business processes or personal productivity is highly valued.

• Ability and willingness to understand business processes and operational problems rather than simply forwarding predefined requirements.

• Strong problem-solving capability and ownership mindset, with the ability to independently move ambiguous problems toward practical working solutions.

• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with business users, dealers, Product Owners, technical teams and external vendors in an international environment.

• Fluent English is required. Local language requirements may be defined based on the hiring market. Mandarin Chinese is a plus due to collaboration with BYD HQ and development teams.

• Experience in automotive aftersales, dealer operations, DMS or enterprise digitalization is highly desirable, but not mandatory.

• Experience working with dealer networks, multi-market organizations or cross-functional business and technology teams is an advantage.
