Job summary

Pertemps Dudley Industrial is seeking a General Operative/Machine Operator for an established manufacturing client in Kingswinford. This permanent role runs on an afternoon shift (Mon–Fri, 2:00pm–10:00pm).

You will operate machinery, set up equipment, perform quality checks and help meet daily output targets while observing safety standards. The role requires prior experience in production or machine operation and a reliable, process-driven approach.

Qualifications

• Experience in a production, manufacturing or machine-operating environment.
• Holds a solid grasp of health and safety practices.
• Ability to follow procedures accurately and work under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery safely and efficiently according to company procedures.
• Set up and monitor machinery during the production process.
• Load raw materials into equipment and ensure correct product specification.
• Carry out regular quality checks and visually inspect products for defects.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation and production area.
• Pack, label and prepare finished products for storage or dispatch.
• Report faults or defects to the supervisor and follow PPE and safety rules.
• Work as part of a production team and on occasions independently.
