MET Recruitment UK LTD is seeking a GENERAL OPERATIVE for a long-established manufacturing business in Swadlincote, DE11. Afternoon shifts run Monday-Thursday 2:00 PM–10:30 PM and Friday 2:00 PM–8:00 PM, with overtime opportunities available.

The position offers temp-to-perm opportunities after 13 weeks for the right candidate, along with ongoing training. You will operate press machines and guillotines, load/unload materials, assist with fabrication and perform quality checks.

• Experience working in a manufacturing environment is essential.

Responsibilities

• Operating manufacturing machinery and production equipment including press machines and guillotine.
• Loading and unloading materials safely.
• Assisting with fabrication, assembly and finishing processes.
• Conducting quality checks to ensure products meet standards.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work environment.
• Following health and safety procedures.
• Supporting team members to achieve production targets.
