Job summary

Aspris Children’s Services is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to join our supportive team at Rossendale School. You will maintain high cleanliness standards across our homes and shared spaces, including kitchens and bathrooms, and assist with occasional kitchen tasks as directed by the Line Manager.

The role is 25 hours per week, 41 weeks per year, with 1:30pm–6:30pm shifts. A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle are essential to cover both the main site and the Rawtenstall Campus.

Qualifications

• Experience with daily cleaning schedules and maintaining hygiene standards.
• Ability to follow health and safety legislation relevant to housekeeping.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Keep spaces spotless: Hoovering, wiping surfaces, cleaning sinks, walls and internal windows.
• Look after shared areas: Daily cleaning of kitchens, bathrooms and the Food Studies Room, plus portacabins and weekly oven cleans.
• Manage waste efficiently: Empty and clean bins, ensuring areas behind and around them stay tidy.
• Stay on top of supplies: Replace cloths and tea towels, and refill soaps, hand towels and toilet rolls.
• Care for our floors: Use the buffer when needed to keep floors looking their best.
• Provide occasional kitchen support and help with other tasks as directed by the Line Manager.
