Job summary

The Grange School in Hartford, Cheshire, is seeking an Afternoon Cleaner for term-time only to maintain a clean and safe learning environment. The role offers 17.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 3:45pm to 7:15pm, with inset days.

  • Cleaning certain parts of the school site
  • Vacuuming carpeted areas and washing floors of cloakrooms and toilets in designated areas

  • Emptying and cleaning bins
  • Spot cleaning of spillages
  • Cleaning desks, seats and skirting boards
  • Cleaning toilet areas and replenishing toiletries
  • Cleaning doors and windows
  • Checking stock levels of cleaning materials
  • Report all defects/hazards immediately to the Cleaning Supervisor

Afternoon Cleaner The Opportunity

Salary: £9,791.60 per annum Reports to: Senior Caretaker Working hours: 17.50 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 3:45pm - 7:15pm, term time only plus Inset Days

Working hours are Monday – Friday 3:45pm – 7:15pm, term time only plus inset days. Additional working hours may be available to suit, including peak time cover, daytime and weekends.

Candidates should have recent proven experience as a cleaner, and should have an awareness of the safeguarding requirements applicable to a school setting.

Duties to include:
  • Cleaning certain parts of the school site
  • Vacuuming carpeted areas and washing floors of cloakrooms and toilets in designated areas
