Job summary

Headcorn Primary School is seeking an energetic Premises Assistant to join our team for four hours a day, 2pm–6pm, Monday to Friday on a temporary basis for three months starting 1 September 2026.

The role involves assisting with maintenance and security of the school premises, ensuring a safe working environment, and the ability to work alone with DIY experience. Salary: Kent Range A, £13.56 per hour.

Ideally this will initially be for four hours a day 2pm-6pm Monday to Friday on a temporary basis for three months starting on 1st September 2026.

However, flexible hours and days can be discussed.

The role is to assist in the maintenance and security of the school premises and site, ensuring a safe working environment is maintained, as directed by the Premises Manager and School Business Manager.

The successful applicant will be someone who has a working knowledge and competence in general maintenance and DIY experience and will need to be proactive and confident to work alone.

Salary: Kent Range A, £13.56 per hour.
